Why Only the Japanese Should be Writing Pop Music

Because they do it right.
Oh sorry, I guess I should qualify that answer. Take for example, the latest song from Avril Lavigne. Or anything by the Veronicas. Or any boy band of recent memory (if you can actually remember them, they don't seem to last too long). Now, think of their lyrics. I am NOT going to be writing any of them on this blog. I'm sorry, I just can't do it.
NOW look at these lyrics from my favourite J-POP song Houkiboshi by Younha (it means comet):

Though it appeared and vanished in a second
