In the HOUSE!!!!
December 22nd 2006 06:41
Well, I have been far too tired to even try to pick up Tandia this week.
So I am going to talk about my favourite TV show in the whole wide world.
House.
Good ol' british sarcasm mixed with american drama. Brilliant acting from Hugh Laurie (whom my youngest brother wants to elect to the post of King of Men), amazing script work from David Shore (who created it) and of course one of my favourite Brian's Brian Singer (who did Superman Returns).
The character of House is what keeps me tied in. He is angry, judgemental, arrogant, overbearing and mean. But also compassionate, perceptive, empathetic and optimistic. He rants continuously about the lows of human nature, but it is curious (and wonderfully fitting) to see that he can be moved by the highs of it.
He also has the best dialogue of any tv show I have ever seen. The lines are delivered without fear or compromise, and you are left thinking that this man really is crippled, he really is in chronic pain.
It has restored my faith in television.

May you finish your honeymoon like an old tv. Four wobbly legs and a worn out nob!

It's this that made me think of Homer (the ratbag would say "can't get me off your mind eh?"...)..plus I couldn't resist the house/home pun!
Your favourite joke....I'm in hysterics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, that is really me.
I think that Homer is a great guy. And the reason he is sometimes an asshole is because he truly wants and desires things to be as amazing as his ideals and is angry when they aren't.
Man, that DOES sound like House. We should ask him.
Look forward to seeing you soon friend,
