300

Z.....O......M.......G
(or ZOH MY GOD for you non-nerd types).
Two hours of thrills, spills and kills. Many, many, many kills. Which I went to while Natalie was at school.
The story of the 300 is old and kind of well known. Well, it is now. That Leonidas lead his personal body guard (as well as some other greek warriors) to the pass of Thermopylae in order to stand against tyrany and destruction is the stuff of legends. Except for the fact that it happened (granted, in the story it was very different to how it happened in history, but the points are quite minor, first, it was somewhere between 180,000 and 250,000 Persians, not 1,000,000. THe second, there were more than 300 Spartans on their own) and that at times it is forgotten. But enough about the boring stuff, let's get to the fun bit. The killing.
And how much killing was there? Lots. Lots and lots. Lots and lots and lots and lots and lots. As a breakdown of the action, the fight scenes were brilliant (except for the fact that they fought as a phalanx only once and then decided that it was no longer the way to go) and the atmosphere created by the music and camerawork was second to none. As far as dialogue goes, they managed to do bloody well. I won't spoil it for you. The only bad thing is that the best line of the movie wasn't delivered by Leonidas himself.
So, who's seen it?

Movies and Life
I've only read a bit about it. I probably won't see it at the cinema, I'm not very good with films that have a lot of killings, I'm a wimp

me and Natalie didn't go to see this movie together.
For reasons very, very similar to yours.
I wish she'd been there though, having someone's hand to hold during the scary bits would have been nice.......
(lol)

to be honest, maybe let him go alone. Unless you like killing. And blood. And killing.

Best line:
Our arrows will blot out the sun.
Then we will fight in the shade.
Your note about the eye candy available is potentially best said by my friend KungFu Karl at Really Long Link
I'd also like to point out that the three comments I got on this were all from women. Guys, either head downtown and hand in your badge and penis or see the movie and comment.

I'll be honest. For me, the sheen has worn off.
It was swords sandals, and good abs.
